Sandwiches, Sunsets,
& Mustang Pride.
Join the Un-Stable at the 2026 Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair as we hand out our famous tri-tip sandwiches — free for every first responder — and raise money for Mira Costa boys football, Mira Costa girls flag football, and our local Beach Cities youth flag football leagues.

Passing the Tongs
For years, the Tri-Tip Booth has been the soul of our football program — built by parents, fueled by smoke, and carried forward by every kid who's ever laced up cleats in green and gold. This year, founding chairman Jeremy Shelton hands the apron to new chairman Steve Jacobson.
Jeremy Shelton · Founding Chairman
The original pit-master and the man who turned a sidewalk grill into a Manhattan Beach institution. Jeremy spent over a decade rallying the parents, perfecting the rub, and writing the playbook every chairman after him will run.
Steve Jacobson · New Chairman
Stepping in with the same fire and a fresh batch of ideas. Steve is expanding the booth's reach to support not only Mustang football but the entire pipeline of Beach Cities youth flag football — boys and girls.
Football, From The Beach Up
Every dollar raised at the booth feeds back into the kids — from the youngest flag football players in town to the Friday-night Mustangs.
Mira Costa Boys Football
Supporting our varsity, JV, and frosh-soph programs — gear, training, transportation, and the kind of game-week moments that build lifelong Mustangs.
Mira Costa Girls Flag Football
One of the fastest-growing sports on campus. We help fund jerseys, officials, and travel as our girls program builds a powerhouse year over year.
Beach Cities Flag Football Leagues
The grassroots that feeds the high school. We back local BCS youth flag football leagues — boys and girls — so every kid in the South Bay has a path onto the field.
Smoke, Sandwiches & Smiles

The Sandwich
Hand-rubbed, oak-smoked tri-tip on a fresh roll with our family-recipe sauce. Built by a rotating shift of Mustang parents who learned from the master himself.
Free for First Responders
Every officer, firefighter, paramedic, and lifeguard who walks up gets a sandwich on us. No questions, no line — just a thank you on a plate.

Meet the Coaches
Our coaches are at the booth all weekend to greet kids who are curious about playing — flag or tackle, boys or girls — and connect families to BCS leagues and the Mustang program.
What the Community Says
"Every Hometown Fair, the line at the Tri-Tip Booth is the longest one — and the friendliest. These parents put on a clinic. Best sandwich in the South Bay."
"As a firefighter, walking up and getting handed a tri-tip sandwich with a smile and a thank you — that hits. The Mustang community shows up for us every year."
"My daughter walked up to ask about flag football and a coach spent twenty minutes with her. She starts BCS league this spring. That booth changed our year."
